2. Two Sisters from a Small Town
Tammy and Amy Slaton grew up in Dixon, Kentucky. Life there was simple, and their family frequently struggled with financial hardship.
Both sisters dealt with weight problems from a young age. Despite the many difficulties they faced, they always stuck together.
Their relationship was defined by humor, but also by frequent arguments. Amy once made a joking remark that would later be quoted often:
“If we ever become famous, it definitely won’t be for our fitness.”
Tammy replied dryly:
“As long as we can still fit through the door, we’re doing fine.”
